As some of our workshops are drop-off events and parents and friends are not allowed into the room there are select occasions and times when we will take pictures to share with the families after the event! Below you will find the photo release statement.

Appearance Release

1. Personality Release.

 In consideration for and as a condition to being permitted to participate in events by or for Beyond the Stage Youth, a Washington non-profit corporation (BTSY) under this Appearance Release (Release), I hereby consent to the recording (including, without limitation, by means of still photography, video, film, and/or audio recording) of my image, voice, appearance, likeness, photograph, name and/or biography (collectively, Personality) in any of the Works ( as defined below), and grant BTSY the right, on an irrevocable, perpetual, and royalty-free basis, to use my Personality in any and all media, including without limitation for advertising, publicity, commercial or other business purposes, relating to any of the Works.

2. Works.

Without limitation of the foregoing, I understand that BTSY may use any aspect of my Personality in any and all media now known or hereinafter invented, including but not limited to the following works for event that I am registering for (collectively, Works), which may include use in the following formats: (a) direct licensing or sale of copies thereof; (b) books, e-books, and/or other print or digital publications; (c) display or broadcast on the Internet, social media, and online streaming platforms; (d) public relations and press materials; (e) advertisements, documentation, and/or print collateral; (f) promotional videos, video, and/or audio tapes; (g) product and sales demonstrations; (h) training materials; and (i) broadcast media (television and radio). I understand that I will have no right of consultation or approval in connection with the use of my Personality in any Work. 

3. Ownership Rights. 

I agree that BTSY owns the copyright in the Works, and any derivative thereof (including without limitation, any serialization(s), translation(s) and/or adaptation(s)) , and reserves the right to license, assign or otherwise transfer such copyright and all rights therein, and as granted under this Release, at BTSY’s sole discretion.

4. Warranties and Representations. 

I confirm that: (a) any statement I make herein is truthful and will not violate or infringe on any third-party’s right; (b) I have the full right and authority to enter into this Release and no approvals and/or licenses are necessary from any other party to grant BTSY’s use of my Personality as granted herein. In consideration for the benefits detailed herein, I shall defend, indemnify and hold harmless BTSY, its agents, successors and assigns from and against any and all claims, actions, damages and losses, liabilities and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs, arising out of or caused by the breach of any of the representations, warranties, undertakings and agreements I have made hereunder.

5. Liability Limitation.

 I hereby forever release BTSY and any of its associated or affiliated companies or appointed agents, and, for each, their directors, officers, agents, employees and customers, from any and all claims of every kind on account of or associated with the recording and/or use of my Personality as described in this Release. I fully understand that BTSY is incurring expenses in reliance on my consent of use of my Personality in the Works and that I cannot revoke my consent at any time.

6. Governing Law and Venue.

 This Release shall be interpreted under the laws of the State of Washington. All disputes arising out of this Release shall be adjudicated in the Courts located in Seattle, Washington. The party substantially prevailing in any such proceeding will be entitled to recover all costs and expenses of such proceeding, including without limitation reasonable attorney’s fees and costs. By registering for this event, I acknowledge that I have read this Release and fully understand its terms. I have signed it freely and voluntarily and intend my signature to be a complete and unconditional release of all claims and liabilities to the greatest extent allowed by law.

PARENT OR GUARDIAN OF GRANTOR UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE : I represent and warrant that I am a parent or legal guardian of the minor person named above and I hereby agree that the grant and release contained herein binds such person and his/her parents and/or legal guardians to all of the terms of this Release. 

 If I wish to attend this event but not grant the above permissions, I attest that I will email that to BTSY (Contact@beyondthestageyouth.com) prior to attending the event.
