Acting 101
Start from the very beginning with an introduction to acting and creative thinking. Your participants will learn fundamental acting techniques including risk-taking and ensemble work as they explore imagination and discover how to be BIG AND EXPRESSIVE! Perfect for groups new to theatre.
Help your students embrace the unknown! Theatre is full of unpredictable variables, and this workshop teaches quick thinking and creative problem-solving. Through engaging theatre games and role play, participants learn to think outside the box while working collaboratively to explore their own creativity.
Watch your students bring characters to life! This hands-on workshop explores physicality, voice, emotion, and movement as participants develop dynamic, memorable characters. Your group will discover how different characters walk, talk, and express themselves.
Develop your students' observation skills through this engaging exploration of awareness! Actors must constantly observe their surroundings, and this workshop uses exciting theater games and group exercises to teach the crucial difference between seeing and interpreting.

Blaire Smith
Blaire Smith is a Washington-based theatre artist and drama educator who brings energy, creativity, and heart to every workshop and performance. Though she calls Seattle home, Blaire has shared her love of theatre across 49 states and 12 countries, inspiring students and audiences around the world.
She has been involved in theatre since she was young and has taken on many roles both onstage and behind the scenes—including acting, directing, stage managing, choreographing, and designing.
Blaire believes that theatre and storytelling help people connect, build confidence, and express themselves. As a passionate advocate for the arts and arts education, she is proud to share the magic of theatre with students of all ages.
